The Vero Spanish Wines and Food Company, established in 1928, is located in Zona Romantica, a small region of north-west Buenos Aires. Established by Jose P. Vero, the company is among the oldest grape growing facilities in Chile. The unique and innovative “Vero Cellars” have been built for the sole purpose of winemaking since 1947. The company uses all natural methods of viticulture to produce its award-winning wines and this accounts for the high quality wines produced in each of their collections. The “Vero Belizanum” is one of their collections and is widely available both as a premium wine and as an import.
This is one of the four premium wine brands distributed by the Vero Group. Other notable offerings include the Vero Armani Collection, which is made from only the best grape varieties grown in the Armani region of Italy. Other offerings come from the California region and include the Vero Del Monte. This wine is considered to be a medium to full bodied wine that pairs very well with delicate white fish and also with cheeses. Some well-known chefs include Jamie Oliver and Albert Einstein, who often include this white wine in their menu.
The “Vero Argentina” is another great offering in the Vero wines group. This wine is from the Barossa Valley in Australia and is produced in limited quantities. The official website promises that this wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon with local oak and this has been proven to be the case. It is moderately priced, so it is a good choice for consumers looking for a relatively affordable wine to enjoy on a date or while on a picnic.
